The present program which based on genre discourse analysis aims at training third year English Majors of Faculty of Education, Minia University in acquiring and using critical listening and critical reading skills. It will attempt to improve the following skills: discourse genre identification skills, discourse analysis skills, contextualizing skills, previewing skills, skimming, scanning and annotating skills, analyzing and reflecting skills, summarizing and outlining skills. Analyzing and reflecting skills are presented in two units. The other skills are presented in separate units.
